Using an iPad, Kyron Birdine, a junior at Arlington High School, tweeted a photo of the word YOLO ("you only live once") and a smiley face scribbled on the essay portion of the exam, along with this declaration: "I have the TAKS test to study for, not this unneeded craziness." He then tweeted the photo to the official twitter accounts for both the school district and the board of education.
School officials pulled Kyron out of class and called his mother and issued a punishment of four-day on-campus suspension for his tweet, which he was also forced to delete.
