The controversial airport body scanners that show naked images of the body are soon going to be a thing of the past as the federal government is pulling the plug on the program.

The machines, of course, caused outrage when they were introduced two years ago and became the focus of lawsuits and protests.

Opponents of the body scanners said they were pornographic because of how clear of an image they produced.
