The U.S. military is in the process of developing an artificial intelligence system that will connect to surveillance cameras in order to predict a crime before it happens – just like the Tom Cruise movie Minority Report and the TV show Person of Interest.
The government’s software, which is called Mind’s Eye, has the ability to recognize human activities seen on video and uses algorithms to predict what people might do next.
If they are believed to be in the process of committing a crime, the system notifies authorities.
