Invitation to a Garden Party!

There is this "sort of" Aggie Joke that goes like this - If we do things more than once it becomes a tradition. So, this Aggie is asking you to keep up the tradition with a visit to the annual Nelson Water Gardens Garden Party. We've broadcast GardenLine live from this party for the past three years, so I guess this is a pretty solid tradition.

This year's party is this Saturday, April 17th, again at Nelson Water Gardens and Nursery, located just off the Katy Freeway at Exit 742. This is a day-long event from which I'll be broadcasting GardenLine live on TalkRadio 950 KPRC. Obviously, that means I'll be there from 8 to Noon on the air. Which means, feel free to bring your plant samples and pest samples by for me to look at, and we can even put you on the air with your question and/or sample. Just make sure you bring 'em in ziplock bags, so we don't spread any diseases or pests while we're there.

If you've never been to Nelson's Water Gardens and Nursery before, there's never been a better time, especially if you've been telling yourself that "this is the year I'm going to start a water garden or pond of some kind." This Garden Party will have refreshments, plus great deals on water gardening goodies, and we'll be giving away a bunch of KPRC and Water Gardening treasures ourselves. They'll have seminars all day long on every aspect of water gardening from basic kettle water gardening to fully stocked ponds. They'll talk filtration and fish life, as well as disappearing fountains and water falls. There truly is no better place for your water gardening needs than Nelson's. Rolf and Anita Nelson are two of the top water gardening experts in all of the U.S. - that's right, we're talking NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED. And they are right in our own backyard.

Plus, when you get yourself over to Nelson's (Just off the Katy Fwy, exit 742 one mile to the north) I get a quarter for every time you'll be saying this...

COOL, LOOK AT THAT FOUNTAIN!.... Or this; WOW, HOW'D THEY DO THAT?" I'm working on my kid's college fund ya know!

Some come see what water gardening has to offer you at the Nelson Water Gardens Garden Party, Sat. Apr. 17. You can show up any time between 8 a.m. to possibly 1 p.m. and I'll be there to answer all your other gardening questions, while the friendly and knowledgeable staff and Nelson's will answer all your water gardening questions. And of course, they'll be there all day long. By the way, Nelson's grows some water lilies and lotus that no one else in the business even attempts to grow, and they are always stocked with the best supply of Koi and Goldfish you could ever want for you water garden.

If you can't make it to the Garden Party at Nelson's this Saturday, then by all means check them out on-line at-

Nelson Water Garden's and Nursery is one mile North of Exit 742 Off the Katy Fwy. (a.k.a. Fort Bend Co. Rd.) Or, call for further directions 281-391-GROW.

P.S... I'll know you've read this email tip and are in search of a Free Jar of Nelson's Color Star Fertilizers (By the way, no relation to each other). All you have to do is either print this page out and bring it to us during the broadcast and we'll give you a free $9.99 value jar of Nelson's Plant Food. Or, if you forget to print this out, just remember the retail price of the jar, and we'll give you one while supplies last.

Until next issue, here's to Great Gardening from the GardenLine, heard exclusively weekend mornings from 8 to noon on Talkradio 950 KPRC.
