So Many Topics, So Little Time...
|
There are so many topics worth getting into at this particular time of the year, and yet there's so very little to actually do over the next week because the weather is still uncooperative. Nevertheless, I was pondering what kind of email tip to do for our subscribers this week, and after looking through the GardenLine tip archives; I decided it was time again for one of those "cumulative reminders."
What that means is that I've compiled many of the previous email tips into a four-in-one party. Email questions are easily outpacing phone calls by a 5-to-1 margin, and fortunately for me, many of them get referred back to email tips we've done on these particular topics.

This coming Monday is not only Valentine's Day but it's the day we prune our Roses (Hybrid Teas and Floribundas). If for any reason you are reading this on Thursday morning and are telling yourself you need to learn more about pruning of roses in general, get to the Rose Pruning Seminar put on by the Houston Rose Society. And last, but certainly not least, not only is this the time of the year we prune rose and crape myrtles without fail, it's also that time when we try to "cheat" Mother Nature just a bit and get some tomatoes in the ground, despite the weather.
