IRON MAIDEN has teamed up with England's Robinsons Brewery to create their own beer. It's an ale called TROOPER . . . after their song, of course.

According to a press release, singer BRUCE DICKINSON played a "major role" in developing the beer. And while they always say that when celebrities "create" some branded product, like alcohol or perfumes, this time it might be legit.

Bruce is a HUGE beer fan, and there's a video of him excitedly talking about it . . . and hanging out at the brewery during one of his many, "ongoing" visits.

By the way, this isn't one of those limited edition deals, it's a "long-term beer." Trooper Premium British Beer will be available "in the U.K. and overseas" beginning in May.

It's a little unclear WHERE you'll be able to find it in the U.S. . . . since it probably won't be at the gas station down the street . . . but you can sign up to receive "news and updates" at IronMaidenBeer.com
